My initial experience was less than rewarding.
I had to begin by purchasing a large quantity of product, which
I would then re-sell to my customers, as well as to the members
of my sales team (downline), whom I would have to recruit and
train.
I earned 50% on my personal sales and a much
smaller percentage on my team members' sales.
My linen closet became my product storage
closet. I recruited quite a few members for my sales team and
had them coming to my home twice a week to pick up products to
fill their personal sales orders.
The majority of my income was generated from
my own personal sales, although a few of my sales team were actually
doing quite well for themselves, which added a bit to my income.
I did get my investment back, but eventually
wound up selling my remaining products to another person in the
business, as I needed to move on and find something that would
generate more income and take up less of my time.
For the last 15 years I have been doing Permanent
MakeUp. I loved my work .. the money was great and I was able
to set my own work schedule. However, after 15 years I was suffering
from major burn out and really needed to take a break. I made
the decision to take several months off.
It was during this time that a friend of mine
introduced me to the Direct Sales business opportunity she had
become involved with. At first I told her absolutely not
.. been there .. done that .. don't care to get involved in that
again .. No Thank You!
Since she is a friend, however, I politely
agreed to let her to do her presentation and help offer any suggestions.
I have to admit .. I was very intrigued! The
whole concept was totally unique! NO products to purchase
which means NO stacks and stacks of inventory to store
in your closet. Even so, I kept reminding myself that I had long
ago made up my mind never to get involved with this sort of multi-level
thing again. This particular opportunity, however, was so intriguing
it kept playing through my mind.
Over the next few months I began noticing
my friend had acquired several pieces of beautiful new jewelry.
Then she purchased a new luxury automobile. I commented that
she must be doing alright with her new business opportunity.
She said it was finally starting to take off for her and that
she had reached a point where her checks were averaging right
around $5,000 a month .. give or take a bit.
This friend is a very soft spoken, easy going
lady. She is definitely not any sort of professional,
high powered, dynamic sales person. In fact, she has never done
anything like this previously, and quite honestly, I was surprised
to see that she was doing so well in this type of business after
only a very short time.
But, then I realized it is the total uniqueness
of the product she is representing. It is something useful that
people need and want, so sales ability is really not a
requirement. It is simply a matter of having people spend a few
minutes to sit down and take a look at the presentation. Once
they have seen it, the package pretty much sells itself.
I realized if she could achieve success with
this Network Marketing - MLM Business Opportunity, there is no
reason I would not be able to be successful with it as well.
I decided I had nothing to lose, since at
the very least I knew I could recoup my initial investment, and
after that .. who knows, maybe I'd become another success story.
I was sorry I had been so negative and had refused to get on
board sooner. I could have already had several people under me
and been on my way and generating income. Nevertheless, I can't
go back and change the mistakes I have made in the past, but
since I knew I had nothing to lose, and possibly everything to
gain, I decided to join the team and give it a try.
That has turned out to be one of the best
decisions of my life!
Whether you are experienced at MLM, Direct
Sales and Network Marketing .. or whether you have never done
anything like this in your life, you owe it to yourself to at
least take a look at this business opportunity.
This is not a get rich quick scheme, and I
am certainly not going to sit here and tell you that you can
lay out by the pool all day and the money will simply roll in.
As with any legitimate business, a certain amount of work is
involved to earn a decent living. I can tell you that overall
the income from this business is absolutely fantastic, and actually,
once you start to build your business the money does tend to
simply roll in.
I have always liked to be in a business where
I am able to earn what I am worth! I, alone, want to be in control
of how much I earn. I can work as much or as little as I choose
each week and my income will vary accordingly. Some weeks I am
in a highly motivated mood and really get things done, while
other times I find I am definitely in the relax by the pool mode.
It all balances out and all in all I do very well and am quite
satisfied with the way my Direct Sales business is progressing.
I display a company sticker on my car, I wear
a lot of company tees and polos and absolutely take every opportunity
to hand out my business cards to everyone I have any sort of
conversation with at all. I am not a sales person .. I am not
pushy .. I am simply a lady who is happy to share this amazing
opportunity with others who may be looking to achieve the same
success.
